SUMMER period is the most popular time of the year for people to travel. It is an ideal season for enjoying outdoor sites and activities in most places in the world. Those, who travel at this time for vacation or holiday see it as an opportunity to relax after spending a good deal of time caged up with their jobs.

Therefore, to ensure that you enjoyed a nice trip that is relatively stress free by air travel in summer, travel at night and in the early morning. These flights tend to be less full than midday flights are and by starting your travel early in the day, you are going to have time to get on flights that you may not have planned on if something happened that prevented you from staying on your original flight itinerary.

Since international travel is expensive and time consuming, there are many ways on how you can save money. Many airlines have different fares for weekly and weekend travel. If you are planning to break your journey midway, some airlines offer free stopovers while others charge a fee, Sometimes, direct and nonstop flights are expensive than the ones with one or more stops.

Travel agents are a good source to get great deals. They can help you find deals with more than one airline and can offer tickets for discounted prices. They have access to almost all airlines and have the expertise to search for the cheapest tickets in the market.

During your flight, always have plenty of fluids, which are easily accessible. Although there is drink service on the plane, you may have to wait quite a length of time before you receive one. So keeping your body well-hydrated would not only keep you feeling good during your flight, but it will also help you to avoid some of the jet lag that you might experience otherwise.

During the summer, you may be tempted to board the airplane dressed in shorts and a tank top. Although it may be 90 degrees outside, you might feel like you have stepped inside a freezer when you board the plane. Wear the lightest pair of pants you own. Bring a lightweight long-sleeved shirt you can put on if you get cold. If you are wearing sandals, bring a pair of socks to put on during the flight. If you are worried about being too hot when you get to your destination, bring a change of warm weather clothes in your carry on bag and change when you get off the plane.

Taking a summer holiday may seem out of reach at the moment with the high costs of everything from diesel to food.  However, flights may not been as affected by price increases as you might think, and in fact flights during the summer can be incredibly cheap. In some cases, even cheaper than winter flights.
